Took a mini break from blog writing to focus on some school stuff (in hindsight I see how silly that was)
on the same day someone decided to mentioned me in their blog!

The other funny reward for my procrastination is how the same blogger who redirected her
followers my way, also wrote about the same cool coral Toronto project I was going to mention.
So in order to return the cross-promotional favour, and let you all in about some nifty knitting stuff
here’s an introduction to Emmy Lou Knits AND her Etsy page where you can order some of
the fantastic cowls.

Sure this clip might be a little dated, but a celebrity-knit reference is always welcome.
And judging by the number of hits I got from that Ryan Gosling post many of you agree 😉
So let’s all get our quirk on!
Although I always thought that octopuses were partial to vests…
Attempt #1 is finished!
And considering this was my first crack at knitting I’d say it
looks pretty darn good
Now to send it off and hope it doesn’t
unravel enroute 😉
Our K-pop Knitter made it safe and sound back to the “shrimp between the whales”
so as a house warming gift I thought I’d make a mini post highlighting an awesome
Korean craft market.
The big one is Bangsan Market (방산시장) in Seoul and while it’s famous for baking supplies, they’ve got
a few yarn shops sprinkled throughout.
How to Get There:
(251-1 Jugyo-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul)
Line 1 Jongno 5(o)-ga Station. Exit 7 or 8. Walk 300 m.
Line 2 Euljiro 4(sa)-ga Station. Exit 4. Walk 250 m.
Line 5 Euljiro 4(sa)-ga Station. Exit 4. Walk 250 m.
Yarn bombing can be tricky business.
You have to measure out the area to be bombed, spend the time to do the actual knitting, and then
the most nerve wracking part – putting it up without getting caught!
For those shy, introverted types out there it can be a daunting task, but have no fear!
Ryan Goslings got your back 😉
If the Notebook didn’t turn you into a hyper-romantic bridging on obsessed fan,
these Yarn Bombing memes should help push you over the edge.
Some of my favorites include…
This could take a while…Eep!
I posted earlier about the pneumonia vest project and I wanted to follow that up with a mini
progress report. Or more like a ‘stalled report’. I may or may not have over estimated
my skill level, and under estimated my time commitment -how is
reading week almost over already?!
– Finish ONE of the vests I have started over the break.
– Do those readings, projects, papers, assignments I’ve so successfully avoided so far.
Reading week has been a great time for me to case out the ischool
and find the perfect places for my sneaky little projects.
I can’t wait for people to come back from break to find these little
guys – especially the dragon foot, which has to be
one of the silliest patterns I’ve come across.
I’m hoping I can do a few more of these feet AND
expand on the stairwell bomb, so keep an eye out 😉
